A limerick

Art by author — @arn-story Anu Nandakumar

There once were some birds in a tree
Their feathers were colorful, as you can see
They sang sweet songs all day
And flew away to play
Their beauty was a sight to behold, truly!

There was a young bird in a tree
Who couldn’t quite fly, as you’ll see
He flapped and he flapped
But all he did was collapse
So he just perched there, as happy as can be!

A flock of birds in a tree
Were known for their constant chatter and glee
But one little bird
Said not a word
Now the others all think he’s a spy, such a mystery!

Love,

Anu ❤

Learnt a new form called limerick :-) You may already be familiar with several forms. For me, these are baby steps and some progress in poetry :-) Thanks for reading :-) The humor side of the poetry is something I still need to learn for sure :-) Will try again for a better one next time :-)

Have a great day!
